Things to do this May Bank holiday weekend

Its that time again, a long weekend for us brits! But what can we do this weekend?

Weather forecast

As always It's a mixed bag this weekend, Saturday looking sunny with showers likely for northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland on Sunday and Monday.

Take a walk

May is National Walking Month a walk across a field is certainly good exercise and for sightseeing as well

A plant show

Their is a alternative gardening festival that celebrates cultivating land, if its planting something or snipping away at plant life this show will have it.

When: until June 7

Stay in and watch TV

Because there's nothing wrong with that. With Rugby, the monaco grand prix, and the champions leage and play off footbeall finals on thiers plenty of sport at least to get your teeth into!

And for more to keep the kids happy...

If you have the children at home for half term all week, you are going to need some ideas up your sleeve as to how to keep them from throwing hairbrushes at each other. Highlights of our half-term activities round-up include the Suffolk Show near Ipswich on May 27-28, where alongside livestock displays and competitions, children can join taster sessions of rugby, judo, cricket and cycling.

Burn sausages

National Barbeque Week begins on Monday. Marketing ploy or not, it is another excuse to get out the coals, firelighters and wooden skewers, and cook up a feast. Just have the oven prepared in case of soggy weather.
